Mark's Boat

We spent the day on Marks boat on the Gulf of Alaska. It was a. Eautiful sunny day, Dad says about 18 degrees. Saw hump back whales and caught halibut and black bass.

Mark and I heading out of the harbour at Homer.

This is a small halibut (Mark threw him back).

This is sea weed.

See the jellyfish swimming.

  1. Now that is my kind of day...lovely views...a whale with the snow covered mountains behind...wow...nice shots.
Did you enjoy being on the boat? It looks very calm out...nice.
I guess for a halibut that is small...but it is still pretty big for a prairie perspective! Nice that you caught some fish...I bet they were tasty.
Lovely kelp photos...were there any seals playing in the seaweed?
Nice photo of a jellyfish...you can't always see them, cause they are so see through...but that one had some colour.
Aren't you having a great time...you always get to do so many neat things. Thanks for sharin.
    Happy Canada Day!!

  3. That Halibut doesn't look very small to me!! haha
I caught my first fish this past weekend Kennen, and I can tell you they were all much smaller than that! Sure was tasty though.
